Monsoon Merriment @ Joeys
“Splashing in a rain puddle is a magical part of childhood’s charm.”
We celebrated “Monsoon Season” with different colourful games and activities. The entire school was decorated with beautiful danglers, it was as though the ambience of the school was full of the monsoon fragrance and sparkled with it's hue.
Pre K - It was a day that brought splash of joy, puddles of laughter and earthy fragrance of fresh beginnings. It was a burst of colours, smiles and excitement, as children came dressed in vibrant hues." The children were engaged in exciting activities like finger painting, blowing rainbow bubbles and snuggling up in cozy classroom corners for story time. Songs about rain and rainbow skies added to the merriment, putting smiles on every face. Joyful jumping on the Pitter Patter Pathway was cherry on the cake”. During snack time, the toddlers savored delicious monsoon treats that added a delightful touch to their day. Each water spray burst out cool splashes, making it so much fun for the little ones as they giggled and tried to dodge the water! The sound of cheerful music added to the excitement, making the atmosphere feel like a real celebration. Just like Rainbow after the rain, the party left everyone smiling wide and hearts full of happiness which made the day truly memorable!
K1 - Started the day with an engaging and interactive Assembly, conducted by the teachers, where they were dressed as different 'colours' of the rainbow. Our little angels’ excitement and participation was beyond words. The day was spent while doing exciting activities like the ‘Rainbow Volcano’ left children mesmerized as they saw how the colours of 'VIBGYOR' oozed out one after another. Children played games with hula hoops and blocks which they arranged as per the colour of the rainbow. We were happy to see children's eager involvement in the discussion regarding the significance of the monsoon season. The classrooms were flooded with the monsoon delicacies brought by the children which was the icing on the cake. To call it an awesome day our little artists won our hearts by creating intricate patterns on their umbrellas leaving us totally surprised!
K2 - The activity area came alive with monsoon themed décor- danglings, paper umbrellas and blue drapes cascading rain. The sensory play zone, complete with water tubs, and floating paper boats, added a magical touch to the experience. ‘Fun and Learn’ display area included all the vegetables and fruits grow during monsoon, things required as precautions during rains etc. A healthy and delicious treat was enjoyed sharing their experiences about rainy days through a fun circle time. In a nut shell, the monsoon party was not only a splash of fun but also a hands-on learning opportunity to explore seasonal changes, enhance social skills, and build sensory awareness- all while having loads of masti !
